Town Council Meetings Move to Video Conference Facility
In order to continue the work of the Town Council during these unprecedented times, meetings have restarted via a video conference facility. Councillors have met as committees on these systems to make decisions, practice using the resource and test its effectiveness over the last couple of weeks.
On Thursday 21st May, the first publicly accessible remote Town Council Meeting will take place on 'Zoom' at 6.30pm. We intend to show the meeting via our Facebook Page so members of the public can view the meeting. If members of the public wish to partake in the public participation element of the meeting they will need to email firstname.lastname@example.org with at least 24 hours notice to arrange access to the 'Zoom' platform.
We have always actively encouraged public participation in meetings and hope this new way of working may mean more community members will be able to access the work of the Town Council. However, we must say this is a very new way of working for our organisation so please forgive us for any flaws as we get to grips with it!
